The Arignano Wheat Festival Celebrates the Harvest

On June 15, 2024, the Arignano Wheat Festival returns. This celebration is dedicated to educating young people about the wheat cycle, from sowing to bread. This year, FIAB MuovitiChieri will organize a bike ride to explore the area for the occasion. Wheat Festival Activities The Municipality of Arignano has organised a series of activities, demonstrations, and events for the afternoon and evening of June 15. Starting at 4 PM, there will be a “Cookie Workshop” run by Ape in Cucina. Subsequently, at 5 PM, there will be a demonstration of hand-cutting wheat with the ancient scythe and threshing among the sheaves, organised by the Arignano Alpini Group. The afternoon will conclude with the Scarecrow Festival Award, where the most original scarecrows will be voted on throughout the day. At 7:30 PM, those who make reservations by calling 339.6927539 by June 13 can enjoy a dinner under the stars. The menu, organized by Ape in Cucina and the Pro Loco of Arignano, will cost €25, including water and wine. There will also be a children’s menu for those under 12, costing €12. The Town and its partners will offer other opportunities throughout the day, such as archery and a bike ride to explore the area. MuovitiChieri in Arignano Starting at 4 PM with your own bike, the 11 km ride will pass through the ancient mill, towards the lake, and through the landscapes of Arignano.
